Promoting Human Capital for Future Generations

Axis 1: Early Childhood Development

Early childhood is a critical stage in building children’s cognitive and physical abilities. However, a large number of children in rural and vulnerable areas—particularly in Tinghir Province—do not benefit from proper conditions for healthy growth and development, whether in terms of nutrition, healthcare, or access to preschool education.

In this context, this axis of the National Initiative for Human Development aims to support early childhood development by providing an inclusive and appropriate environment that includes healthcare, balanced nutrition, and quality preschool education, in order to reduce social disparities from the earliest stages of life.

Axis 2: Support for Preschool Education in Rural Areas

Preschool education is a crucial stage in a child’s academic journey, helping them to be emotionally and educationally prepared for primary school. However, many villages and rural areas—especially in Tinghir Province—still suffer from limited access to preschool services due to the lack of infrastructure, shortage of qualified educators, and low enrollment.

In response, the National Initiative for Human Development, through its third phase, aims to support the expansion and improvement of preschool education in rural areas by constructing and equipping preschool units, training educators, and improving learning conditions to ensure equal opportunities for all children from the early years.

Overview of Program 4

The fourth program of the National Initiative for Human Development focuses on developing human capital for future generations through three key areas: early childhood development, preschool education support, and school dropout prevention.

Early Childhood Development

This axis aims to improve health, nutrition, and educational conditions for young children, with a focus on vulnerable groups in Tinghir Province.

Support for Preschool Education in Rural Areas

This axis aims to expand access to quality preschool education in rural areas by providing appropriate infrastructure and qualified educators.

Combating School Dropout and Supporting Schooling

This axis seeks to encourage school attendance and reduce early dropout rates through financial support and social incentives.

Axis 3: Supporting Schooling and Combating Dropout

School dropout is a major challenge to achieving equitable and inclusive education. Dropout rates remain high, particularly in rural areas, due to several factors such as the distance from schools, the socio-economic conditions of families, and the poor quality of educational services. Tinghir Province also faces such challenges, which negatively impact children's educational paths.

In this context, the National Initiative for Human Development aims to tackle this issue by implementing targeted actions to improve schooling conditions, provide social support to enrolled children, and encourage families to keep their children in school—ensuring school continuity and reducing dropout rates.
